Hygiene Operative – Weekend Night Shift

Hours: 00:00 – 08:00, Saturdays and Sundays only (16 hours per week)

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Hygiene Operative to join our weekend night team. You will play an important part in ensuring our poultry processing and production areas are thoroughly cleaned, sanitised and ready for production.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Cleaning production areas, processing equipment, machinery, floors, walls and other surfaces.

• Using high-pressure washing equipment and approved detergents, foam, chemicals and sanitisers safely.

• Following cleaning schedules, work instructions and the required cleaning and sanitising sequence.

• Ensuring assigned areas meet the required hygiene standard before production begins.

• Using and maintaining all required PPE.

• Reporting equipment damage, safety hazards, chemical issues or hygiene concerns promptly.

• Working with the Hygiene Team to complete all cleaning within the allocated timeframe.

What We’re Looking For

• Reliable, punctual and able to work the full weekend night shift.

• Comfortable carrying out physically demanding and repetitive work.

• Comfortable working in wet, temperature-controlled conditions around raw poultry products and processing equipment.

• A strong commitment to hygiene, food safety and workplace safety.

• Able to follow procedures and instructions accurately and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Previous experience in industrial hygiene, food manufacturing, poultry or meat processing, factory cleaning, chemical cleaning or high-pressure washing would be an advantage, but it is not essential as full training will be provided.

Please note: This is a physically demanding industrial cleaning role involving prolonged standing and walking, manual handling, high-pressure water and industrial cleaning chemicals. Suitable protective clothing and PPE will be provided.
