Compliance Officer

Location: Shercock, County Cavan

Manor Farm is seeking an organised and proactive Compliance Officer to support our health, safety and environmental compliance activities during the evening shift.

This is a practical, site-based role involving compliance inspections, audits, training, risk assessments and record management. Working closely with the Compliance, Health & Safety, Operations and Facilities teams, you will help identify potential risks, maintain accurate records and ensure that corrective actions are followed through.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete and record scheduled inspections of first-aid boxes, defibrillators, spill kits, bunds and other compliance equipment.

• Review factory pre-inspection sheets, identify omissions or non-conformances and escalate findings for corrective action.

• Conduct compliance audits and workplace inspections, documenting findings and monitoring actions through to completion.

• Support task-based risk assessments in partnership with operational teams.

• Deliver health, safety and environmental elements of site induction.

• Maintain accurate compliance, inspection, attendance and training records.

• Enter and maintain information on relevant business and compliance systems.

• Promote safe working practices and report hazards, incidents or compliance concerns promptly.

• Support environmental sampling and other compliance activities when required and appropriately trained.

• Provide practical operational support, including forklift or pallet-truck cover, in line with certification and business requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in compliance, health and safety, environmental management or a similar role is desirable.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.

• Good organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

• The ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively during a busy evening shift.

• A practical, proactive and safety-conscious approach.

• Confidence using Microsoft Office and learning new business systems.

• The ability to work independently while collaborating with operational and support teams.
