We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Green Room Operative to manage the safe receipt, scanning, categorisation and segregation of product, by-products, returns and waste. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who takes pride in accurate work, follows procedures and works well as part of a busy production team.
What You’ll Be Doing
Receive and check incoming product, by-products, returns and waste from production areas.
Scan every item using the correct Green Room code and record quantities or weights accurately.
Identify the correct waste category and maintain strict segregation between Cat 1 and Cat 3 materials.
Keep clear and reliable records to support mass balance, finance and management reporting.
Spot and report missing scans, incorrect codes, quantity discrepancies or segregation issues.
Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised work area, including bins, dolavs, pallets and walkways.
Report hazards, damaged equipment and containers promptly.
Follow all site Health & Safety, hygiene, waste-handling and operating procedures.
Complete accurate end-of-shift checks and handovers.
What We’re Looking For
You do not need to be an expert on day one—training will be provided. What matters most is a responsible attitude, attention to detail and a commitment to doing the job safely and correctly.
Reliable, organised and comfortable working in a busy environment.
Strong attention to detail and confidence completing scans and records accurately.
A safety-first approach and willingness to follow procedures consistently.
Good communication skills and the confidence to raise issues promptly.
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to the wider team.
Previous experience in production, food manufacturing, warehousing or waste handling is an advantage but not essential.
English language skills (speak, read and write) are essential for this role.
Why Join Us?
Full training and support to help you succeed in the role.
A practical position where your accuracy makes a real difference to site performance.
The opportunity to build valuable experience in production operations, compliance and waste management.
A team environment focused on safety, quality and continuous improvement.
