The Role

We are looking for a reliable and proactive Continental Engineer to join our Engineering team and play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of plant equipment through effective maintenance and rapid fault resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• As an engineering multiskilled technician you will carry out diagnostics, repair or replace malfunctioning electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic components of equipment and carry out planned preventative maintenance in accordance with the preventative maintenance plan thus ensuring the plant is maintained to the highest standard.

• Be proactive by routinely inspecting equipment, cabling panels, to ensure they are up to standard.

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment to maximise plant reliability and minimise downtime.

• Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

• Support equipment installations, upgrades, commissioning activities and contractor management.

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with GMP, health & safety and company standards.

• Manage maintenance activities and records through the CMMS system, including labour and materials tracking.

About You

• Proven experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment, preferably within the food industry.

• Qualified Electrical or Mechanical Tradesperson, with relevant certification.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.

• Demonstrated ability to apply Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and respond effectively to operational priorities.
