Assistant Shift Manager (Production)

40 Hours per Week – Sunday - Thursday

We are currently recruiting for a Assistant Shift Manager to join our MCPH team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced food production professional who is ready to step into a leadership role and help drive performance, quality, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced production environment.

Working closely with the Unit Manager, you will support the day-to-day operations of the department, lead by example on shift, and help ensure production targets, quality standards, and team performance remain on track. You will play a key part in building a high-performing, safety-focused, and quality-driven culture.

What you’ll be doing

• Support daily production operations and help deliver performance targets

• Drive high standards in quality, food safety, and compliance

• Assist with continuous improvement and Lean initiatives

• Help manage labour efficiency, downtime, and operational costs

• Support, coach, and motivate supervisors and team members

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations

• Promote a positive team culture focused on safety, accountability, and results

What we’re looking for

• 2+ years’ experience in FMCG or food production

• Experience in live food operations is an advantage

• A relevant third-level qualification in food, production, or management

• Strong people leadership and communication skills

• A proactive approach to problem solving and decision making

• Good knowledge of Lean, continuous improvement, and production KPIs

• A focus on quality, compliance, and health and safety

• Available to work Sunday - Thursday

Role details

This is a full-time role based on a 5-day week, working Sunday to Thursday, 40 hours per week.
