Assistant Shift Manager (Production)
40 Hours per Week – Sunday - Thursday
We are currently recruiting for a Assistant Shift Manager to join our MCPH team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced food production professional who is ready to step into a leadership role and help drive performance, quality, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced production environment.
Working closely with the Unit Manager, you will support the day-to-day operations of the department, lead by example on shift, and help ensure production targets, quality standards, and team performance remain on track. You will play a key part in building a high-performing, safety-focused, and quality-driven culture.
What you’ll be doing
Support daily production operations and help deliver performance targets
Drive high standards in quality, food safety, and compliance
Assist with continuous improvement and Lean initiatives
Help manage labour efficiency, downtime, and operational costs
Support, coach, and motivate supervisors and team members
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations
Promote a positive team culture focused on safety, accountability, and results
What we’re looking for
2+ years’ experience in FMCG or food production
Experience in live food operations is an advantage
A relevant third-level qualification in food, production, or management
Strong people leadership and communication skills
A proactive approach to problem solving and decision making
Good knowledge of Lean, continuous improvement, and production KPIs
A focus on quality, compliance, and health and safety
Available to work Sunday - Thursday
Role details
This is a full-time role based on a 5-day week, working Sunday to Thursday, 40 hours per week.
