We’re delighted to invite internal applications for the role of Production Supervisor at our Shercock processing site. This is a great opportunity for colleagues who want to move into a people‑management role and play a bigger part in how we deliver safe, high‑quality food every day.
This role is a weekend (Saturday and Sunday) role of 16 hours per week.
About the Role
As a Production Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for the day‑to‑day running of your assigned production line(s) or area(s). You’ll work closely with your Shift Manager to ensure safety, quality, people and performance standards are met.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Health & Safety
Promoting a strong safety culture on your line
Ensuring policies and procedures are followed
People & Team Leadership
Leading your team with respect, fairness and consistency
Supporting attendance, timekeeping and performance
Providing regular feedback and on‑the‑job coaching
Supporting training and skills development
Quality & Food Safety
Ensuring products meet quality and safety standards
Escalating and helping resolve quality issues
Maintaining clean, organised production areas
Production Line Management
Preparing your line for production runs and changeovers
Delivering the daily production plan
Monitoring line performance and downtime
Minimising waste and inefficiencies
Supporting improvements and new systems where introduced
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to have held a Supervisor title before, we’re keen to hear from colleagues who demonstrate leadership potential and the right behaviours.
You may be a good fit if you:
Have a good understanding of the food manufacturing environment
Communicate clearly and confidently
Are organised, reliable and willing to make decisions
Want to grow your people‑management and leadership skills
Are committed to safety, quality and teamwork
