Business Support Lead
Business Support Lead (Supply Chain) – Shercock, County Cavan
We’re hiring a Business Support Lead to oversee our Business Support team and keep day-to-day operations running smoothly across customer support and shared supply chain support services. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll drive team performance, improve ways of working, and collaborate closely with Planning (S&OP), Commercial, Production, Quality, Finance and the wider Supply Chain function to support delivery of key company KPIs.
What you’ll be doing
Lead, coach and develop the Business Support team—setting clear expectations, allocating work, and supporting performance and growth.
Create a positive, collaborative team culture with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
Oversee day-to-day administrative and customer support activities, including customer communications, accurate reporting, financial flow administration, and effective management of disputes/escalations.
Ensure seamless order processing and a consistently high standard of customer experience.
Act as a key contact for cross-functional initiatives across Supply Chain, Planning (S&OP), Commercial, Production, Quality, Sales and Finance.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, analyse performance data, and implement operational changes that deliver better outcomes.
Ensure team activities align with company policies, procedures and compliance requirements.
Provide accurate, timely reporting and updates to the Business Support Manager/Head of Planning and Business Support.
Support day-to-day people management activities such as scheduling and holiday approvals.
What we’re looking for
Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Business Support, Administration, Commercial or Supply Chain role, including supervisor experience.
Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment (experience in food manufacturing is advantageous).
Experience leading, supporting or coordinating projects—especially process improvements or operational change.
Demonstrable people development experience (coaching, mentoring and supporting team members’ professional development).
Qualifications
Fluent English (written and spoken).
A relevant qualification in business, administration or supply chain is advantageous.
Skills that will help you succeed
Strong MS Office skills—especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent organisation, attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Comfortable analysing data and turning insights into practical improvements.
Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence across teams.
Self-motivated, dependable and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
