Compliance Officer

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join the team at Manor Farm.

As a key member of our Health & Safety function, you’ll help reduce compliance risk across the site, support safe ways of working, and ensure Manor Farm continues to meet all relevant legal, customer and internal standards.

Duties

• Complete daily, weekly and monthly checks of first aid boxes, defibrillator, spill kits and bunds, recording results on the compliance system.

• Review completed factory pre-inspection sheets daily, identify gaps or trends, and escalate issues as required.

• Maintain accurate Health & Safety and Environmental records on the Position Green system.

• Raise purchase orders using the NAV system.

• Deliver manual handling training for new starters and existing employees (as required).

• Support site inductions, covering Health & Safety and Environmental sections.

• Plan and complete scheduled compliance inspections and audits.

• Work with the SOP writer and support risk assessments.

• Support compliance projects and provide reports/updates when requested.

• Assist with basic site upkeep activities when required (e.g., gritting/salting, car park cleaning, grass cutting).

• Provide forklift cover during holiday leave (rota-based) when requested (forklift licence is desirable, not essential).

• Carry out environmental sampling to provide cover during Environmental Officer holiday leave (as required).

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in Health & Safety and/or a compliance role is desirable.

• Strong attention to detail, with excellent organisational and analytical skills.

• Excellent IT skills

• Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.

• Previous experience delivering manual handling training is a bonus.

• Able to prioritise effectively and manage multiple deadlines.

Full onboarding and role-specific training will be provided, with opportunities to complete additional internal and external courses/certifications as part of your development.

• Essential (training provided where needed): Position Green; NAV.

• Nice to have: Manual Handling Instructor; Train the Trainer; Centuri; Gaitor; Forklift / Pallet Truck licence; Ammonia Awareness; Legionella Awareness; Racking Inspector training.
