Assistant Quality Systems Manager

📍 Shercock, Co. Cavan | Full-Time | Permanent

We are recruiting an Assistant Quality Systems Manager to support the day-to-day management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our Food Safety and Quality Management Systems in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

This role plays a key part in ensuring food safety, regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and effective customer complaint investigation, working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support HACCP, VACCP and TACCP activities and food safety risk assessments

• Assist with BRC / customer / regulatory audits and maintain audit readiness

• Manage CAPA investigations, root cause analysis, and close-out

• Investigate and respond to customer complaints, including direct customer contact by telephone

• Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve quality and food safety issues

• Conduct internal audits and support supplier approval processes

• Maintain document control, SOPs, and quality records

• Support GMP standards, pest control, and processing compliance

About You

• Previous experience in Quality, Technical, or Food Safety within food manufacturing

• Strong knowledge of food safety systems and regulatory requirements

• Experience handling customer complaints and investigations

• Excellent written and spoken English (essential)

• Strong attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving approach

• HACCP or internal auditing experience (advantageous)

• Strong IT Skills and proficient in the use of MS Office
