Indirect Procurement Manager
The Indirect Procurement Manager is responsible for leading all sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management across the company’s indirect procurement categories. The goal is to deliver best value, operational efficiency, and full compliance with governance, sustainability, and Group Procurement standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Procurement
Develop and deliver category strategies for indirect spend areas aligned with business and Group Procurement goals.
Achieve measurable cost savings, service improvements, and supplier efficiencies through data-driven decision-making.
Lead tenders, benchmarking, and contract negotiations to ensure long-term value and supplier performance.
2. Supplier Management & Governance
Build and manage supplier relationships to maintain high standards of quality, service, and value.
Lead supplier onboarding, evaluation, and approval in line with company governance requirements.
Oversee supplier contracts, renewals, and ensure compliance with sustainability and internal controls.
3. Operational Delivery
Support budgeting, forecasting, and spend analysis for indirect procurement.
Maintain accurate and timely data within ERP and BI systems (NAV, QlikSense, Excel).
Drive continuous improvement in cost control, process efficiency, and risk management.
Lead sustainability initiatives and contribute to environmental reporting and strategy.
4. Leadership & Collaboration
Work closely with Group Procurement, Finance, Engineering, QA, and Operations to optimise indirect spend.
Contribute to cross-functional projects in sustainability, digitalisation, and governance.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving.
Skills & Competencies
Strong negotiation, influencing, and contract management skills.
Excellent analytical and numerical ability; confident using data to inform decisions.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills (essential).
Able to work independently, show initiative, and deliver results under pressure.
Clear and confident communicator with strong stakeholder and presentation skills.
Highly organised, detail-focused, and committed to compliance and improvement.
Comfortable in a fast-paced and changing business environment.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3 years’ procurement experience, ideally within FMCG, food manufacturing, or logistics.
Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline (CIPS qualification desirable).
Demonstrated success in achieving cost savings and improving supplier performance.
Experience with ERP systems (NAV, SAP, or similar) preferred.
