Supervisor - Evening Shift - Kill /Evis
To supervise daily operations in the Kill and Evisceration areas, ensuring all production, animal welfare, safety, hygiene, and quality standards are consistently met.
The Supervisor will lead by example, manage workflows, and support the wider production team to deliver efficient, compliant, and safe processing of poultry.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate activities in the Kill/Evisceration departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
Monitor and check each incoming load of chickens, ensuring bird welfare is prioritised and corrective actions are taken where necessary.
Oversee compliance with animal welfare requirements and ensure all staff follow procedures.
Ensure all documentation and records are completed accurately, signed, and filed correctly.
Conduct checks to ensure the work area is always audit-ready.
Support and step into operative roles when necessary, including cleaning, hanging, pinning, back-up bleeder, or other duties as directed.
Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders (lorry drivers, Department Vets, Security, Transport, etc.).
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and that PPE is worn correctly by self and team members.
Remain alert and vigilant to maintain the safety of yourself, colleagues, and animals at all times.
Support and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and standards.
Carry out any additional duties reasonably requested by management.

Essential Requirements
Valid forklift licence and competency as a forklift driver.
Previous supervisory experience in poultry/meat processing or a similar environment.
Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends.
Eligibility to work in Ireland.
Desirable Requirements
Poultry Welfare training (training can be provided if not already held).
Supervisory experience in a food processing environment essential
