Our engineering team is crucial to keeping the factory running smoothly. They maintain and improve the production equipment that powers our business, ensuring efficiency, reliability and compliance every day. Who You Are
You are a hands-on engineering leader with a passion for people, process and performance. With several years of experience in FMCG or food manufacturing you understand what it takes to keep production assets in peak condition while leading a team through challenges and change. You’re a natural problem solver and motivator who:
- Has 3-5 years’ experience in an FMCG engineering environment, ideally with supervisory responsibility.
- Holds a recognised trade qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering; a degree or higher qualification is a plus.
- Leads with confidence and empathy, balancing team motivation with operational excellence.
- Thrives on continuous improvement and embraces Lean thinking and problem-solving tools.
- Communicates clearly and collaborates cross-functionally to achieve shared goals.
- Is proactive, adaptable and able to lead during shift work including evenings and weekends.
The Role
As Engineering Supervisor, you will be the driving force behind all engineering operations during your shift. You will lead a skilled team of engineers and apprentices to optimise maintenance, improve uptime and support production reliability. This high-impact role means you will:
- Own the reactive maintenance function and support day-to-day running of all engineering activities on your shift.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean tools to enhance performance and reduce downtime.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Health & Safety and other functions to deliver seamless operations.
- Manage preventative maintenance planning through our CMMS system and control spare parts availability.
- Support capital projects, ensuring smooth handovers and delivery of cost and productivity savings.
- Coach and develop your team through targeted training and leadership.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards across your area.
- Represent management as the senior engineer on site during your shifts, providing visible leadership and decision-making.
