Area Sales Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Area Sales Manager to join our Home Sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding and experience managing and growing the customer network within the Irish Market. This role focuses on driving sales for both fresh and frozen product ranges (breaded/ready-to-eat) and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers. Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with customers to ensure effective distribution of products.
- Serve as the main point of contact for customer partnerships & capable of building strong relationships.
- Sales Growth and Strategy:
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to exceed annual sales budget for both fresh and frozen ready-to-eat products.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and introducing new products to new and existing customers including ‘breaded/ready-to-eat products.
- Ability to identify and target potential new customers, building a product pipeline of leads through research, networking, and experience.
- Product Knowledge and Expertise:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of our product range and the potential to various customers.
- Provide expert guidance to clients on range of products.
- Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:
- Work closely with internal teams, including operations, and new product development, to ensure high quality delivery of products and services.
- Participate fully with the rest of the sales management team.
- Negotiation and Contracts:
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients while adhering to company policies and sales budget.
- Ensure contracts are accurate, compliant, and aligned with both parties' expectations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Formal 3rd level business degree.
- Proven experience in Account Management within the home sales market.
- Understanding of fresh & frozen ready to eat market (retail & foodservice).
- Commercial awareness with strong negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet customers and attend industry events.
- Ability to successfully network.
- Good IT literacy, including standard Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven track record of being a team player.

About Manor Farm
Carton Bros founded way back in 1775 when it began trading in the Dublin Markets is home to the long established Manor Farm chicken brand. Originally in those heady days nearly 250 years ago, chickens would be brought from the farmyards all around the country to the Dublin Markets and Carton’s would sell them on. In later years people would send their live chickens on the train marked for Carton’s of Dublin where they would then be sold and the money would be sent back to the Farmers by return (less a commission of course). That was and is Real Trust.
