Job Description:
As an Electrical Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced engineers and technicians, gaining hands-on experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems within a high-tech production environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in automation, robotics, and electrical maintenance while working with cutting-edge machinery and control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components within an automated production environment.
- Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and control system faults under supervision.
- Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), motor control systems, and robotics.
- Follow electrical diagrams, schematics, and safety regulations.
- Participate in preventive maintenance activities to minimise downtime and optimise production efficiency.
- Support senior electricians and technicians in daily operations while attending required training sessions.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and report issues as necessary.

Requirements:
- A strong interest in electrical systems, automation, and manufacturing technology.
- Basic understanding of electrical principles (prior experience or education is a plus but not required).
- Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
- Leaving Cert or equivalent.
- Excellent written or spoken English.
- Computer literate.
- Organised, Logical, Good Communicator.
- Flexible and open to change, Innovative problem solver, Enthusiastic.
- Ability and willingness to adapt to a team and build team spirit.
- Properness to follow procedures strictly so that the highest standards of quality and safety are achieved.

About Manor Farm
Carton Bros founded way back in 1775 when it began trading in the Dublin Markets is home to the long established Manor Farm chicken brand. Originally in those heady days nearly 250 years ago, chickens would be brought from the farmyards all around the country to the Dublin Markets and Carton’s would sell them on. In later years people would send their live chickens on the train marked for Carton’s of Dublin where they would then be sold and the money would be sent back to the Farmers by return (less a commission of course). That was and is Real Trust.
